Fishing NewsAugust 25, 2010 For current weather in Central NY check out the Links page, or click here: Oswego Weather Summer fishing in the Salmon River was great. Atlantic and some Steelhead in the upper river Small Mouth in the lower river. Channel Cats all summer in the Oswego River system. The end of August is here. Kayak races and heavy rainfall has rising the water levels throughout the eastern basin. Tributaries and streams blowing into Lake Ontario are running at high levels. We were just fishing big Kings in 70-100m ft of water in the lake. Then they were gone. Temperatures scattered and so did the Kings. A fairly big surge of Salmon Kings and Cohoes have run the Salmon on river and Oswego Harbor. Fishing is great, call for best availability, some dates still available for September, October and trophy Browns, Rainbows and Steelhead trips in November and December. Good fishing, see you streamside. Book now for Fall, Winter and Spring trips 2010. May 4th, 2009 the Hawk caught a Sturgeon that was almost 7' long in the Oswego River and well over 100 lbs. (Released back to the wild.) We now have 6 private tributaries that come off Lake Ontario that the Hawk has access to where we can fish without interruption. Pictures contained within website with some really big predator fish that were caught in these tributaries. (Thanks to Dwight and some other friends for making this all possible.) This makes great fishing for the novice to the pro or the young to the old. If you're thinking on coming up, give us a call. We'll tell you what's really going on, where you won't have to read between any lines or try to figure out site-to-site, what's actually going on. We guarantee to have fun and our averages are pretty darned good with catching fish. We cater to the average working person. Our prices are reasonable. Deposits aren't absorbed, the dates can be changed and your deposit moved from date to date. We also specialize in father, son or daughter teams, ages 7 and up. (Some exceptions on ages can be made.) We have heated drift boats, which makes your trip somewhat more pleasurable throughout the colder months. See you soon somewhere stream side. Good fishing to all!
