Fishing Seasons

Thank you everyone for a decent year of fishing. I hope everyone's summer is full of good weather and plenty of fish. For best availability, call The Hawk ASAP. See you streamside.

Fishin' Hawk Guide Service fishes the Salmon River from Altmar to Douglaston, depending on water conditions. We also fish the Oswego River and Harbor, the lakeshore of Lake Ontario from Oswego to Sandy Creek, NY, including walking all Lake Ontario's tributaries from Rochester to Watertown along the Eastern basin depending on the season and the fish that are running. We also fish on private lands in between with the owner's permission. In addition, we specialize in father and son or daughter teams, usually from age 7 up is OK. Many, many trips are booked this way.

We fish:
September thru November for Salmon (Also booking night trips for Salmon)
Mid October thru December for Steelhead and Brown and Rainbow Trout
December thru February for Winter Steelhead Brown and Rainbow Trout
March thru May for Steelhead and Lakeshore Brown Trout
May thru July for trophy Walleye (6-13 lbs). (Also booking night trips for this species).
